Are you familiar with the two transmission methods of container spreaders?
With the logistics containerization, container lifting machinery has been widely used, and the various functions of container cranes have been continuously improved. As an important part of container cranes, spreaders have also made great progress in recent years. Good performance needs to be guaranteed by scientific management and excellent equipment. As an important part of container loading and unloading machinery, the spreader directly affects the operating efficiency of loading and unloading machinery. According to the transmission method, the spreader can be divided into two categories: hydraulic and electric. Hydraulic transmission is the traditional way of spreaders. Container spreaders are mostly hydraulically driven. As a new type of spreader, the use of electric spreaders is still relatively low in container terminals.
Working principle of hydraulic transmission spreader The driver's room and the spreader are connected through a spreader cable to meet the transmission of command signals and feedback signals. All mechanisms on the spreader are driven by hydraulic system. The spreader is equipped with hydraulic oil pumps, various control and protection hydraulic valves, telescopic oil motors and rotary lock cylinders. After receiving the instructions issued by the driver, the spreader drives each mechanism through the on or off of the solenoid valve, so that the spreader can achieve telescopic and opening and locking. After the action is in place, the feedback signal is sent through the limit and sent back to the driver's room via the sling cable to confirm for the driver.
Working principle of electric spreaders Electric spreaders abandon the traditional spreaders' hydraulic system transmission method, and instead use a motor as the power source for mechanical transmission. The driver's room and the spreader are connected through the spreader cable to meet the transmission of command signals and feedback signals. All mechanisms on the spreader are driven by motors. The spreader is equipped with 2 motors, 2 gearboxes and 2 electric push rods. After receiving the instructions issued by the driver, the spreader drives the motor or electric push rod that drives each mechanism through the switch on or off of the relay, and then drives the chain or connecting rod by the motor or electric push rod to enable the spreader to achieve telescopic and opening and locking. After the action is in place, the feedback signal is sent through the limit and sent back to the driver's room via the sling cable to confirm for the driver. Two motors and two reducers control the horizontal movement and expansion of the spreader respectively, and the two electric push rods control the opening and closing of the spreader.
