What are the maintenance methods used for the hook group?
Hook group is a common type of spreader in lifting machinery. In the hook group, the wire rope is suspended from the hoisting mechanism with the help of pulley blocks and other components. There are many types of hook sets, including single hooks and double hooks. At the same time, when the hook group is in use, its dead weight is larger and the safety factor is also higher. When the hook group is in use, its maintenance methods are as follows:
(1) Clean the hook body with kerosene, dry it and check it thoroughly with a magnifying glass. If cracks are found, repair welding is not allowed and it should be replaced immediately.
(2) Check the tie plates, beams and other parts. If the tie plate holes are severely worn, you can use high-quality welding rods to repair the holes and re-bore them; if parts are replaced, you must ensure that the mechanical properties of the materials meet the requirements.
(3) For hooks that have been used for a certain period of time, the surface of the hook is often hardened due to the action of the wire rope. For this reason, the hook is annealed once a year. For forged hooks made of No. 20 steel, the annealing temperature is 500 to 600°C, and they are slowly cooled after heat preservation to ensure that their mechanical properties remain unchanged. The hook group should be comprehensively inspected at least once a year, and the hook body should be inspected individually once every quarter. During the assembly process of the hook group, each lubricated part also needs to be lubricated. At the same time, the hook group is a combination of a hook and a pulley block. The hook should be assembled in the reverse order of disassembling the hook, and then the movable pulley should be assembled in the reverse order of disassembling the movable pulley in the hook group.
