Hook classification:
According to technology, hooks can be roughly divided into two types: forged hooks and chip hooks.
Forged hooks are annealed after forging and stamping, and then machined. Forged hooks can also be subdivided into single hooks and double hooks. Single hooks are often used for small and medium-sized cranes below 75 tons; double hooks are more suitable for large-tonnage cranes above 75 tons or machines that require symmetrical hook stress.
Chip-type hooks are made by riveting each 30mm thick cut-to-shaped plate. Generally, the Q235 steel plate is gas-cut to form the profile. Mainly used in metallurgical cranes and cranes with large lifting capacity above 75t. The single hook of the chip hook is mostly used in casting cranes; the double hook is mostly used in general-purpose cranes over 100 tons.
