Safety technical requirements for crane hooks
Safety inspection of hooks
The hook used for the human-driven lifting mechanism is tested with 1.5 times the additional load as the inspection load.
The hook used for the power-driven lifting mechanism is tested with 2 times the additional load as the inspection load.
After the hook is removed from the inspection load, there should not be any obvious defects or deformations, and the increase in the opening should not exceed 0.25% of the original size.
Hooks that pass the inspection should be marked on the low stress area of the hook, including additional lifting capacity, factory logo or name, inspection mark, production number, etc.
Scrap standards for hooks
The hook should be scrapped when one of the following conditions occurs:
①Crack;
② The wear of the dangerous section reaches 10% of the original size;
③The opening is increased by 15% compared to the original size;
④The torsional deformation of the hook body exceeds 10°;
⑤ Plastic deformation occurs in the dangerous section of the hook or the neck of the hook;
⑥The thread of the hook is corroded;
⑦ When the blade hook bushing is worn to 50% of the original size, the bushing should be replaced;
⑧When the wear of the hook spindle reaches 5% of the original size, the spindle should be replaced.
