What are the differences between enclosed hook assemblies and semi-enclosed hook assemblies?
Hook group is a commonly used spreader in the lifting industry today. According to different uses, it can be divided into two types: closed hook group and semi-closed hook group. The following introduces their application characteristics to facilitate faster application when using it.
Under the same lifting weight, the shape and height of the closed hook group is smaller than that of the semi-closed, thereby increasing the effective lifting height of the crane, but its lateral dimension is larger.
Especially when the double pulley set is singular and the balance pulley must be installed on the hook rack, the closed hook set cannot be used, so it is only suitable for cranes with small lifting weight and even pulley set ratio.
Semi-enclosed hook group is different from the closed type. Since the hook beam and pulley shaft are arranged up and down, all pulleys are installed on the pulley shaft. Therefore, the pulley (or magnification) is not restricted by odd and even numbers. It can be said that the semi-closed hook group overcomes the shortcomings of the former, so many cranes now use semi-closed hook group.
The above two types of hooks are common types. There are many manufacturers of semi-enclosed hook sets. If you have any questions, please feel free to consult us.
