Pay attention to the following issues when adding load to the lifting hook

On portal cranes, straight handle hooks are used, while on single-arm cranes or electric hoists, claw chain hooks are used. When adding load to the lifting hook, the following issues should be paid attention to.

When two slings are put into the hook, the angle from the vertical plane to the sling pullout cannot be greater than 45°, and the angle between the two slings is not allowed to exceed 90°.

For the angle between the two slings greater than 90 degrees, an intermediate lifting ring should be used. If the main lifting ring or a bolt-type shackle is used to hang the two slings, the intermediate lifting ring can be hung on the hook and must be on the same axis. This method can also be used on a combination of three or more synthetic slings.

Make sure all rigging material is hung in the hook and the safety tongue is closed.

It is prohibited to hang on the hook at a single point.
