Safety technical requirements for hooks
The hook used in the human-driven hoisting mechanism shall be tested with 1.5 times the rated load as the test load. Hooks used in power-driven hoisting mechanisms are tested with 2 times the rated load as the test load. After the hook is removed from the inspection load, there should not be any obvious defects or deformations, and the increase in the opening should not exceed 0.25% of the original size. Hooks that pass the inspection should be marked in the low stress area of the hook, including rated lifting capacity, factory logo or name, inspection mark, production number, etc.
Scraping standards for hooks: Hooks should be scrapped when one of the following conditions occurs:
① Cracks; ② The wear of the dangerous section reaches 10% of the original size; ③ The opening increases by 15% than the original size; ④ The torsional deformation of the hook body exceeds 10°; ⑤ Plastic deformation occurs in the dangerous section of the hook or the hook neck; ⑥ The hook thread is corroded; ⑦ When the hook bushing wears up to 50% of the original size, the bushing should be replaced; ⑧ When the wear of the hook spindle reaches 5% of the original size, the spindle should be replaced.
