Hook maintenance steps

(1) Clean the hook body with kerosene, dry it and check it thoroughly with a magnifying glass. If cracks are found, repair welding is not allowed and should be replaced immediately.
(2) Check the parts of the pull plate, cross beam, etc. When the pull plate holes are severely worn, you can use high-quality welding rods to re-bore the holes: if you replace the new parts, it is necessary to ensure that the mechanical properties of the material meet the requirements.
(3) For hooks that have been used for a certain period of time, the surface of the hook is often hardened due to the effect of the wire rope. For this reason, the hook is annealed once a year. The annealing temperature of the forged hook of No. 20 steel is 500-600℃, and it is slowly cooled after insulation to ensure that its mechanical properties remain unchanged.
The hook is inspected at least once a year, and the hook body should be inspected separately once a quarter.
