Everyone knows that when lifting various items, they will use hook. In fact, there are more types of hooks than we imagined, including single hooks and double hooks. They can also be linked to different products for combination use.
Here I will introduce to you the classification, use and maintenance of hooks:
1. The hook is forged with a whole piece of key material (usually using high-quality carbon cable steel No. 20) and requires annealing, with a hardness requirement of 95-135 (HB).
2. The surface of the hook should be smooth and must not have defects such as peeling, markings, sharp angles, cracks, etc. The well shall not be repaired for repair of damaged hooks to avoid brittle breakage and accidents.
3. When lifting, the sling should be hung to the bottom of the hook; if the hook is directly hooked in the ring of the component, the hook cannot be hard or twisted.
4. The hooks have single hook and double hook types. The lifting work generally uses a single hook, among which the main size and lifting weight of the ring hook are the same.
5. If there is permanent deformation and cracks on the hook, it should be scrapped. When the wear reaches 10%, it should be downgraded or replaced.
