Daily Inspection Checklist for Crane Hooks
1. Visual inspection
✅Cracks  /deformation : Use naked eyes and flashlight to check if there are cracks or permanent deformation on the hook body, hook neck, thread and other parts.
✅Wear  measurement : Use calipers to measure the opening (if it exceeds 10% of the original size, it will be scrapped).
✅Corrosion  : Check the degree of rust , focusing on the stress-bearing parts (if the cross-section wear caused by rust is ≥ 5%, it needs to be replaced).
2. Safety device inspection
✅Anti -unhooking tongue :
-
Check whether the tongue is intact and without deformation.
-
Can the spring close and lock automatically?
✅Nut /locking piece : Check whether the hook nut is loose and whether the anti-loosening gasket is invalid.
3. Rotation and connection inspection
✅Rotation  flexibility : Manually rotate the hook when unloaded to confirm that there is no jamming at 360°.
✅Connection  parts :
-
Check whether the pins and bolts are worn or loose.
-
Check whether the pulley bearing makes abnormal noise or shakes.
4. Lubrication status check
✅Bearings  /hinge points : Check for signs of dry friction (if grease is lacking, refill immediately).
✅Threaded  parts : Apply grease to prevent sticking.
5. Functional testing
✅No -load test : Lift and lower 2-3 times to observe whether the operation is smooth and whether there is any abnormal noise.
❗ Immediately stop using the standard (if any of the above is found, it will be scrapped)
✖  Cracks or breaks (regardless of size).
✖  Opening > 10% of original size .
✖  Wear of dangerous sections > 5% .
✖  Failure of anti-unhooking device (broken tongue, spring falling off).
