Importance and forging standards of hook assembly
The hook group is the most commonly used pick-up device for cranes. It consists of hook, moving pulley, pulley shaft and bearing. It is one of the important lifting components on the crane. Depending on the usage conditions, various section shapes are made, and the commonly used ones are single hook and double hook.
After the hook is made, hang it with 125% of the rated lifting weight for 10 minutes to check for any deformation (measure the hook) and cracks.
The main hooks in cranes with a large lifting capacity of more than 75 tons are generally made of plate hooks, which are made of rivets cut and molded with 30 mm thick. Cracks or cracks are not allowed on the surface of the plate, and they are not allowed to be welded.
The hook cannot be manufactured by casting or welding. Since the hook is subjected to a large impact load during starting and braking, it must be made of materials with high strength and toughness in accordance with the requirements.
After the hook is used for a certain period of time, the contact part of the hook and the rope buckle ring will be worn. When the hook section wears at a height of 10%, it should be scrapped.
