Characteristics of hook materials
Hook is crucial for the safe and reliable operation of the crane. To this end, there are strict requirements for the material and processing of the hook.
Since high-strength steel is very sensitive to cracks and defects, the materials used to manufacture hooks are made of special low-carbon calm steel or low-carbon alloy steel, and the steel grades are DG20, DG20Mn steel and DG34CrMo and DG34CrNiMo alloy steel.
A hook made by forging and stamping, annealing and then mechanically processed has the characteristics of high strength and good plasticity and toughness.
Slice hooks are generally used in places where large tonnage is burned by strong scorching objects. Usually, a sheet hook is made of A3, No. 20 or 16Mn steel plate with a thickness of not less than 20 ram, and there will be no sudden breakage and high reliability.
The fracture caused by defects is limited to individual steel plates, and the remaining steel plates can still support the lifting weight. Just replace the individual steel plates. The hook plate cannot break at the same time, so it has greater safety.
But the sheet hook can only be made into a rectangular section, so the strength performance of the hook body material cannot be fully utilized.
Because casting materials have many mass defects, such as shrinkage, shrinkage, thermal stress, slag inclusion, etc., it is easy to produce cracks and is not easy to occur, so the lifting machinery must not use cast steel hooks;
Welded hooks cannot be used because the welding has defects such as pores, slag inclusions, infiltration, cracks, etc.; nor can hooks be made of steel with high strength and low impact toughness.
When forging hooks, marks such as rated lifting weight, factory marks, inspection marks, dates, numbers, etc. should be printed in the low stress area, and forged by style="line-height: 15.6000003814697px;">The factory provides certification documents after surface inspection and load test.
