  Safety inspection of hooks

  1. The hook used for the human-driven lifting mechanism is tested with 1.5 times the rated load as the inspection load.

  2. The hook used for the power-driven lifting mechanism is tested with twice the rated load as the inspection load.

  3. After the hook removes the inspection load, there should be no obvious defects or deformations, and the increase in opening degree should not exceed 0.25% of the original size.

  4. For hooks that pass the inspection, marks should be printed in the low-stress area of the hook, including rated lifting weight, factory mark or factory name, inspection mark, production number, etc.

  Scrap standards for hooks

  The hook should be scrapped when any of the following situations occurs:

  ① Cracked;

  ② The wear of hazardous sections reaches 10% of the original size;

  ③ The opening degree increases by 15% compared to the original size;

  ④ The twisting deformation of the hook body exceeds 10°;

  ⑤ The dangerous sections of the hook or the neck of the hook are plastically deformed;

  ⑥ The hook threads are corroded;

  ⑦ When the sheet hook bushing wears to 50% of the original size, the bushing should be replaced;

  ⑧ When the sheet hook spindle wears to 5% of the original size, the mandrel should be replaced.
