  Sky crane hooks, also known as overhead crane hooks, are a common name for industrial crane hooks. They are categorized by shape into single and double hooks, and by manufacturing method into forged and laminated hooks. Single hooks are simple and easy to use, and are often used for lifting capacities under 80 tons. Double hooks, due to their symmetrical load distribution, are often used for large-tonnage lifts. Laminated hooks, constructed from riveted steel plates, offer increased safety and are suitable for large-tonnage lifts.
